WOW! Where do I even begin with this wonderful autumn wedding? Chris and Melissa absolutely knocked the autumnal wedding theme out of the park. And the stunning Runa Farm looked like it was made to colour match with this beautiful bunch!
Runa Farm was made for autumn weddings!
This corker of a day took place in November 2023. Melissa and Chris chose Runa Farm for it’s laid back, rustic charm, and the fact it had plenty of space for all their guests. This was one of the best party weddings I’ve ever photographed, the dancefloor was never NOT packed, and the lovely combination of guests from Yorkshire, the North East and Turkey made it such a friendly bunch.
Melissa and Chris picked out their incredible supplier team to design their perfect autumnal wedding, and oh my goodness – they NAILED it! But best of all, the interior decor of the ceremony chapel (think lots of rustic terracotta) complemented everything so perfectly.
It didn’t matter a jot that Storm Ciaran raged for much of the day, because the inside space is so fabulous and spacious and there’s also a covered courtyard at the back. Excellent planning for a November wedding in my opinion! We took advantage of the gaps in the rain and got outside as and when we could. You’ll also notice a strong Harry Potter theme being worked in to these autumn wedding images too!
Amazing Runa Farm party vibes!
The biggest difference between an autumn wedding (or winter wedding!) and a spring/summer wedding is the lack of daylight! But – it’s totally possible to get some amazing indoor flash portraits! AND……sparklers are a must for a fun group photo. Just a word of caution though – drunk people and fireworks aren’t a great combination – so be careful who you hand them to!
On to the party, where the couple’s amazing band kept the dancefloor busy! Genuinely, this was one of the loveliest and most fun weddings I’ve ever photographed.
Testimonial from the couple
On receiving their photos they said “we can’t thank you enough for your incredible skill and talent. The photos are perfect. And just what we wanted!”
