Late May in North Yorkshire can be a bit of a gamble weather-wise, but Antonia and Ben weren’t going to let a little rain dampen their spirits! (And nor should anyone! This blog I wrote earlier is a great read for anyone worrying about rain on their wedding day!) Their wedding at The Beverley Barn was a vibrant celebration of love, joy, and togetherness, and I’m thrilled to share the highlights of their unforgettable day.
A Splash of Colour and a Whole Lot of Love
From the moment I arrived at The Beverley Barn, it was clear that Antonia and Ben’s wedding was all about fun and happiness. The barn was decked out in bold, bright colours, with flowers and decorations that seemed to dance in the light, despite the grey skies outside. It was a perfect reflection of Antonia and Ben’s personalities—joyful, lively, and full of life. These beautiful flowers are by the fabulous Wonderland Blooms, in case you were wondering!
Rain, What Rain?
As the rain drizzled outside, inside was a different story. Antonia and Ben, along with their guests, were determined to make the most of the day. Umbrellas in hand, they embraced the weather with smiles and laughter, making the most of every moment. Their ceremony was filled with heartfelt vows, a few happy tears, and a lot of laughter.
One of the most memorable moments was when the couple stepped outside for a few photos. Under a canopy of colourful umbrellas, they danced and twirled, their joy infectious. It was a beautiful reminder that love isn’t about perfect weather—it’s about perfect moments.
A Party to Remember
After the ceremony, the celebration kicked into high gear. The Beverley Barn was transformed into a lively party space, with music, dancing, and a lot of laughter. Antonia and Ben’s priority was to make sure everyone felt their joy and happiness, and it was mission accomplished! The dance floor was never empty, and the smiles were never-ending.
The couple’s friends and family played a huge part in the day’s success. From heartfelt speeches to hilarious dance-offs, the love and joy in the room were palpable. Hannah is amazing! From first booking her until getting our wedding photos, Hannah was great and it was clear she had lots of experience in capturing all the special moments of the day. She was very approachable and friendly, always willing to answer any questions we had. The countdowns on her Instagram stories helped keep up the excitement!
Our engagement photos were amazing, we loved being able to meet her before our big day and it really put our worries about being photographed at ease! The photos were gorgeous and is definitely something I’d recommend other couples doing before their wedding.
On the day, so many of our guests complimented her and she fitted in perfectly with her calm and friendly personality. She chatted to all our guests, and was more than happy to help out with any buttonholes or veils that needed attaching! Our sneak peeks came back so quickly and they were gorgeous, such a lovely way to look back on the day.
When our full album came through, we were blown away! Not only were the photos of us stunning, Hannah really managed to capture the joy everyone felt that day. We have absolutely loved looking through them all, reliving all the small moments throughout the day. We can’t thank Hannah enough!!
