Is it worth paying the price to exclusively hire Middleton Lodge for your wedding?
Well yes, after photographing this stunning spring wedding, I’d definitely say so. Middleton Lodge is one of North Yorkshire’s most exclusive, luxury wedding venues, so if you’re going to go for it, I say really go for it!

In this blog post I’ll take you through all the gorgeous details of Rachel & Joe’s big day, and then finish with my top reasons for you to exclusively hire Middleton Lodge for your big day!
Sound good? Let’s dive in!
Rachel & Joe’s Spring Middleton Lodge Wedding
When I say this day had all the good stuff – I mean it. Glorious spring sunshine, a couple totally made for each other, and a venue that somehow manages to feel both grand and totally relaxed at the same time.
This venue will always have a special place in my heart, as I shot my first ever wedding there in April 2018.
It also happens to be one of my favourite North Yorkshire Wedding venues tucked away in the North Yorkshire countryside, just 1 mile off the A1 and Scotch Corner. This venue is the kind of place where every corner feels a bit magical – all stone walls, sweeping driveways, and peaceful garden paths.
The ceremony was held in the Fig House, which was absolutely glowing with natural light. The whole space was styled beautifully with a classic mix of white and soft pinks – understated, elegant, and just really them.

After a few confetti-filled hugs and happy tears, everyone wandered over to the Main House for the wedding breakfast. It’s such a treat being able to move between spaces like that – it gives the day a lovely sense of flow without ever feeling rushed. Plus, the Main House has those views and a certain charm you can’t quite describe – the kind that makes everyone relax and just enjoy the moment.

I can’t move on without mentioning the special touch on the cake. The couple had decided not to have their much loved furry friend, Miles at the wedding, but he was there as a cheeky cake munching ornament. Incredible patisserie work by Where the Ribbon Ends.

Oh, and the party? Unreal. Back Chat Brass brought the vibes, the energy, and then some. Nothing gets people on the dance floor faster than a live brass band bursting out Beyoncé, let me tell you. Everyone was up dancing, grinning, singing along – the kind of evening you never want to end.
Rachel and Joe, thank you for having me there to capture it all. Your day was filled with love, laughter, and some serious moves on the dance floor – and I loved every minute of it.
Also, I photographed the wedding of Rachel’s sister Sarah and her hubby Ben at Lineham Farm back in 2021, and will be photographing the other sister, Lizzie (Sarah’s twin) in 2025.
