Bowcliffe Hall is a rare find. Situated, just off the A1 and 5 miles outside of Wetherby, this is one beautiful, elegant and quirky wedding venue! And for a wedding photographer who is based in Wetherby, this is the dream wedding venue on my doorstep!
A Grade II listed building, this venue has the perfect mixture of original Georgian features, and plush modern features with a strong tribute to aviation hero Robert Blackburn, who lived in the hall.
Marilyn and Jenni’s beautiful wedding
Marilyn & Jenni married at Bowcliffe Hall on a beautiful and sunny October day. Making full use of all this fantastic venue had to offer, this was one wonderful celebration of LOVE. The golden light hit just at the right time and the party was EPIC!
This happy couple made the best use of this stunning luxury venue. Their ceremony was held in the Bowcliffe Room, the wedding breakfast in the Ball Room and then we moved to the Blackburn Wing for the party and music by the fantastic Warning Tones.
My favourite thing about Bowcliffe Hall
Without doubt, the thing I love most about photographing a wedding at Bowcliffe Hall has got to be the gardens! Meticulously kept and perfectly manicured, there’s a huge range of options for the most wonderful and joyous photo opportunities within a short walking distance!
This is of huge importance to me, because I firmly believe that the couple getting married should have lots of time to enjoy their party and time with their guests. I like to spend only 20-30 minutes on the wedding portrait shoot prior to the wedding breakfast, and if the light / weather allows – another 10-15 minutes in the evening.

If you choose to have a Bowcliffe Hall Wedding, you’ll have the option of using the Blackburn wing for part of your celebrations. This modern space is perfect for more intimate celebrations or those who want the perfect party vibe!
