Some weddings just stick with you – and Sarah & Will’s incredible Wyresdale Park Wedding was just one of those glorious and completely unforgettable wedding days.
Colourful, festival vibes.
From the moment I arrived, I knew this one was going to be something special. The vibe? Full-on colourful, creative, and full of personality – think funky festival meets heartfelt love story. And the weather played its part too, with that glorious late spring heatwave casting golden sunshine over the whole day. It was absolute magic.
A celebrant led ceremony for the win
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – I’m a huge fan of celebrant led weddings. Perfect for those couples who want to make a bit more of the ceremony. It’s all completely personal, and beautifully thought out and delivered by someone who really cares about you as a couple. Hazel the Rainbow celebrant did a magnificent job of telling Sarah & Will’s story and here’s the gist of it, if you’re nosey like me!
These two were introduced during lockdown by a mutual friend, and honestly, you couldn’t have matched a more compassionate, interesting pair. Sarah and Will are both beautifully emotional, creative souls, and it was clear just how deeply loved they are by everyone around them. They had a gorgeous, personal ceremony led by Hazel the Rainbow Celebrant.
I’m not exaggerating when I say there were a lot of tears – happy ones, emotional ones, all the good stuff – from both sides of the family, the couple themselves, and a good few guests too. (And maybe even me behind the camera. Maybe.)
The whole day was bursting with personality
Bold colours, brilliant styling, and that laid-back, joy-filled atmosphere you get at the best kind of summer festivals. Wyresdale Park was the perfect setting for it all – from the barns to the gardens, every corner looked like it had been made just for them.
I first met Sarah & Will when I photographed their friends Chloe & Tom’s wedding back in 2022, and it was such a joy to see familiar faces again and to be welcomed back into their circle like an old friend. It really is the best part of this job – being part of these wonderful webs of people, each love story connected to the next.
Sarah & Will’s day was a perfect reflection of them: bold, emotional, and full of heart. A riot of colour and connection and dancing in the sunshine. I left with full memory cards and an even fuller heart.
