Skipbridge Country Weddings is a stunning tipi venue on a family run farm situated in the heart of North Yorkshire. If you’re looking for a laid back wedding with the most beautiful photography locations on site, this is the place for you!
The Boat
Situated just behind the outdoor ceremony area, the Skipbridge weddings boat is a wonderful location for wedding photographs. I love to make use of the huge weeping willow as a backdrop to some of my favourite ever couple portraits.
The Tipi
The tipi at Skipbridge Weddings is actually a trio of tipi’s and is surprisingly big inside! There’s a horsebox bar, dancefloor with huge glitter ball and even a fire pit!
The accommodation
Skipbridge Weddings has plenty of accommodation to choose from. There are cottages, shepherds wagons and bell tents – enough to accommodate up to 50 guests on site.
The hobbit hole
A hidden gem and perfect spot for those couple portraits. The beauty of Skipbridge Weddings for me is that you really don’t have to walk for to get a huge variety of backdrops! You can see more on this blog I wrote about Amylea and Jamie’s Skipbridge Wedding.
I’m now going to talk about all the wonderful suppliers who came together to create this shoot!
The Dress
The dress(es), veil and cape were from Treasured Brides based on the outskirts of York.
And of course, with a veil comes some veil play for the photographs! I like to float them in the wind, shoot through them and make them like a cloud around you for the most romantic wedding photography.
The suit
The Groom’s suit came from Asos! They really do have a large selection, particularly if you are looking for a specific colour like this dark teal suit jacket!
Hair & Make up
Chrys Chapman created this beautiful, natural bridal look for Dionne. Chrys helps her Brides and their tribes achieve breathless, unique and timeless looks. And the stunning gold hair accessory was created by Saint Beth Official.
The florals
Karon at Meadows and Mulberry Weddings created the beautiful florals for this shoot. Autumnal doesn’t always have to be oranges! Karon focusses on sustainability (no foam!) and provides modern floristry that embraces the seasons.
The styling
Limelight Wedding Emporium created the most beautiful tablescape, incorporating jewel toned colours and Peacock feathers. The stationery was created by Somers Creative. Simple and elegant, just how weddings should be!
The Neons
Adding some neon signs to your wedding really creates a sense of fun and some fantastic backdrops for both your dancefloor and your photographs. Love Lights The Way are your go to girls to light up your wedding day!
The Cake
This spectacular turquoise tower cake was created by HG1 Cake Couture and I can verify that it tastes as good as it looks!
The confetti
I’m a big fan of paper confetti, the biodegradable type, obviously! Not all venues will allow for paper though – even though it’s 100% biodegradable! But the reason I love it, is that it floats better! The dried stuff does not, and that’s just fact! All confetti used here was from Your Confetti.
