The most laid back wedding at Left Bank Leeds
If you’re dreaming of a relaxed, joyful wedding day, featuring lots of candid wedding photography in Leeds, Teri & Luke’s celebration is the perfect inspiration. From a personal church ceremony to a fun, laidback reception at Left Bank Leeds, their day was all about good food, good company, and good vibes – with their much-loved blue staffy, Reggie, by their side.
The morning consisted of excited preparations, a game of guess the dress and letters to the Bride. Tearjerker moments aplenty – just what I love to photograph.
Then it was over to St Oswalds Church in Methley, where Teri & Luke said their “I dos” in their local church, surrounded by family, friends… and Reggie, who looked right at home as their dog of honour. He sat sweetly during the vows, totally calm and clearly proud of his humans. Big shoutout to Kirsty from Chuck Tails, who acted as Reggie’s chaperone and made sure he was part of the day without any stress. She was absolutely brilliant!
Party time at Left Bank Leeds
After the ceremony, everyone made their way to Left Bank Leeds, a stunning and unique venue full of character. With its high ceilings, quirky details, and open space, it gave off total beer garden wedding vibes – complete with BBQ food, outdoor games, relaxed seating, and that unmistakable hum of people genuinely having a great time.
As a candid wedding photographer in Leeds, I’m all about capturing the real stuff. Teri & Luke didn’t want hours of posed photos or to be pulled away from their guests – they wanted natural, honest moments. So we did just that: a few quick group shots with their favourite people, and then I quietly slipped into documentary mode, snapping away while the day unfolded around me.

“Hannah was our wedding photographer. We can be very awkward, and didn’t want to be stood and taken away from our guests for a long time.
Hannah absolutely understood the assignment. We took all the posed photographs with family and friends, and then it was like Hannah was undercover.
The photos we have received in our sneak peeks, we didn’t even know she was there taking them. The photos are amazing, documentary and candid. Every photo we have had so far, we absolutely love. I CANNOT wait to see the rest!

It honestly doesn’t get better than that – being able to give couples a gallery of genuine, joy-filled memories they can relive again and again is exactly why I do this.
Also, those sunflower wedding bouquets? Absolutely gorgeous. Full credit to Springwood Flowers, who brought the sunshine with those bright, colourful blooms that tied in perfectly with the summer BBQ vibe.
Teri & Luke’s day was the definition of doing it your way: relaxed, real, and full of heart. It was such a joy to photograph – and Reggie, if you’re reading this… you’re welcome in front of my lens any time.
